Welcome to Silliman University Alumni Association: Aloha Chapter
We are glad you have come to visit us.
The members of the Aloha Chapter are graduates, former students, faculty, staff, and friends of Silliman University, an institution of higher learning located in Dumaguete City, Philippines. Its members are bound by the Silliman spirit and unique camaraderie only experienced by those who have been there.
OUR MISSION
Provide a cornerstone for building a cohesive, supportive, professional, and responsive association;
Advocate for and inspire its members to strive for the preservation of Silliman University’s traditional Christian values of “via, veritas, vita”– the way, the truth, and the life, and encourage the commemoration of significant events associated with our Alma Mater;
Increase and Promote respect, inter-cultural understanding, and international goodwill, through community involvement, scholarships, and educational exchange;
Cherish the faith and guidance that our Alma Mater has instilled in us and foster interaction and harmony among the members and Silliman alumni and friends from other chapters;
Practice hospitality and embrace newly arrived alumni in Hawaii by providing the necessary orientation and assistance to facilitate acculturation and issues of social adjustment.
